NEPARC Awards

The NEPARC Award for Excellence in Herpetofaunal Conservation is given to recognize an individual who has made significant contributions to the conservation of amphibians and reptiles in the northeast region of PARC. The award recognizes someone who has worked with partners to make significant achievements for conservation of herpetofauna by preventing loss of species or their habitats or has educated others to further the NEPARC mission.

The NEPARC Community Conservation Award is given to recognize an individual who has made a considerable contribution to the conservation of amphibians and reptiles in a particular state or geographical area in the NEPARC region. The award recognizes someone who works with partners to advance herpetofaunal conservation efforts at a state- or local-level where achievements have contributed to preventing the loss of species or their habitats or has educated others to further the NEPARC mission.

How these awards differ:

  • AEHC – Award focuses on broader, regional conservation efforts within the NEPARC region. A connection with the NEPARC organization is preferred, but not required and anyone can submit a nomination. Click here for more information about applications and about past winners.
  • CCA – For excellence in herp conservation at a local- or state-level or within a geographical area in any of the NEPARC states.
